Tales of the Mysterious and the Macabre.

It’s the period that makes it, really.

The current Amazon cover is quite a bit more eyecatching, and the title no longer ends with a period.

It now ends with an ampersand.

2nd edition cover, artist other than Simon Parker the author; in the new title the two line tall “&” actually replaces “And The” between Mysterious and Macabre.

It’s the organic version of the human torso phenomenon. So what’s next? Topless tree torsos? Trunkless treetops?

FWIW: When I first looked at this cover I thought my contacts had gone blurry. Imagine my surprise when I looked at something else and that thing appeared to be completely not blurry.
