Agreed. Thanks for changing it back, Nathan! It wasn’t even loading fully for me.

This works fine for me too.
(Curious how I misremembered it even after like a single day: I could have sworn there was a column on both sides! I don’t remember the black vertical borders or the ‘rough drywall’ texture background either.)
Good to know at least one third of my so-called memory is still intact!

For those who missed it, the temporary version had thumbnails of the covers in a gallery format, click on one to see the entry.
I’ll be honest: this (the old) version allows me the initial “that’s not too bad” … scroll down … “Oh, That’s lousy” revelation that make a true lousy book cover experience.
Nathan, sorry I was so “grouse-y” about the two templates, but the second one literally didn’t work for me. I couldn’t navigate by clicking. I ended up hovering over the thumbnails, and MANUALLY typing the url, to go from A to b. I meant what I said. I will cheerfully donate a commercial WP theme. Just pick one that has a gallery-blog type layout. My gift to you, for giving us all such enjoyment over the years. Email me, bruv.
Chrome. I would probably not have said anything, if I’d been able to get it to work. Well..okay, that’s likely a fib. I didn’t love it, it was visually confusing to me. But seriously, I had to hover over each cover on the home page, get the url, and then manually type it. The next-previous cover mechanism was flakey, too. I’m on a Lenovo Yoga Thinkpad Pro, running Win8, w/Chrome.
HTH. Nathan, seriously, having suffered through redoing my own website, top-bottom (even including a CMS change), for a YEAR, I certainly have no desire to torture you. I’m happy to assist if I can and may. 🙂
Next-previous worked for me, that was the first thing I checked. I’m also on Thinkpad Yoga, but running Windows 10. But I can’t say I liked the theme. It was better than the previous one, which, IIRC didn’t even have next-previous, plus the menu was broken, but it wasn’t all that pretty. But I don’t like this one either. It’s very functional, but it feels so… unsophisticated.

Also, is it me, or the banner doesn’t lead to home page anymore?
That was the compromise I made in taking out the little “stutter” at the bottom of the header image. Instead, I just put a “Home” link at the left of the header menu.
You guys are boring. I was rather looking forward to the design change. A successful design change.

Didn’t there used to be a search function? I don’t want to submit a lousy book cover if it’s already been featured here, but without a search function…?
That’s great news, Nathan. I, for one, have never had a problem with your original theme. Thanks for restoring it.
I quite like this theme, I find it very easy to read.

That’s the one thing I tweaked when I restored it. The original background was a pattern of small blue-gray tiles.

Funny, it worked for me. What browser were you using? I’m on Chrome.

Yeah, I noticed that too…

Home. Perfect. Thank you.
Thank God. I thought it was me (on the Home thing).
Yay! Everything’s back to normal. 🙂

Whoops! Yeah, that’s pretty important. Hold on…
Whoot! Thanks!
