1) This book contains a character named Gator Jazz.

2) What’s that thing superimposed on nipple-ring guy? I can’t quite make it out.

3) Is there a mismatch here between the cover and the target audience? The description implies that this is aimed at straight women, but the cover has a bit of a gay vibe to me.

As to #2, I’m seeing it as some guy’s back with a hint of buttocks. Could be wrong, though, but that’s what I’m seeing.

Possibly. If it wasn’t for what looks like a bit of cloth on the right-hand third of the image, I’d say it was a mountain range. The left-hand ‘mountain’ might be a head with long hair, so it could be a woman or a dude with long hair. It’s too blurry to tell.

It’s a Lovecraftian Shoggoth with a nipple.

Ah, then that thing superimposed over it must be The Mountains of Madness.

Sometimes I think people are just trying to get on this site. What a train wreck this cover is.

Because NIPPLE RING!

They should have made the guy on the bike monochrome to match the others. It would still be a bad cover, but at least it would be a little less jarring.

Are they sure this isn’t 5 separate covers they were designing at the same time for consistency? Did they forget to turn off their other layers?

I’m pretty much in the dark these days about female anatomy – but that nipple ring looks like it is on a woman’s breast to me.

And if so, that just makes this cover much more confusing.
