I got the impression from the cover that the book is about a mutant baby that trashes shipping crates using it super crying power. I guess I was wrong.

Um… that’s not how I got MY four kids.

Hmm, really? I almost always agree with your take on these covers, but I have to say that this one seems to be quite well designed and nicely executed. The simplicity is presumably intentional, and I think it’s effective. Meanwhile, for what I assume must be some kind of comedy book, the striking conceit of a ‘damaged’ baby being delivered in a crate successfully evokes humor.

Ah! Point taken. You’re absolutely right!

(I don’t know how I missed that. I guess I just saw what I was expecting to see.)

Some books are damaged right out of the cover…

I have never seen such a hideous baby in my life. I would send it back and demand a refund. Which is what I would also be doing had I purchased this book.
