It’s well drawn. The illustrator certainly has talent.

Is it? Do they? I thought the depthless grey thing was some kind of log-and-stone wall, but there’s a visual cue beneath his butt that shows it’s meant to be a set of receding steps. And that guy seems to have so many limbs and consist of so many planes/parts that I still can’t shake my initial impression that there’s a whole extra person in there somewhere. Plus his right leg/knee is such a jumble of conflicting cues that it’s just about impossible to get a consistent spatial fix on it.

That’s because his bloody torso is growing entirely out of his left damn leg. Somehow, this guy got chopped in half and mis-assembled when re-assembled. That’s why you’re getting all those oddball cues, Take Cover.

Ok, I see that torso-left leg thing now. Still, if it’s a legit drawing and not a tracing as Itsy is saying, then there’s potential.

Found a more appropriate version for you Nathan.

Although it may have more problems than the actual cover.

I’m pretty sure that this is a badly traced version of something else I’ve seen before.

Y’know, for ages I thought he was trying to cut the head off a huge fish with a big open mouth that he was holding under his arm. But then I finally worked out it’s just the way his leather-clad legs are positioned!

Either that or I really need to go to SpecSavers…
