It’s like somebody combined two OK covers to make a bad one.

While I don’t think the illustration in the middle is bad, there’s something very strange about his leg. It’s like he’s a one-legged man with a hoof for a foot, ridding sidesaddle.

Or even riding sidesaddle.

Cartoon OR realism. Combining the two always looks stupid.

“The Gold Seal of Literary Excellence” OK, where’s the gold seal? All I see are gold wave crests. You mean the seal is underwater? That’s stupid.

I looked it up. It’s Trafford-bestowed (one vanity press owned by Author Solutions). Probably came with an upgraded package.

Trafford … Author Solutions … that medallion … Ouch! “Marshal Book 2: Superstar the Harbinger” https://lousybookcovers.com/?p=139990 … the repressed nightmare emerges from the fog of memory … 28 Feb 2015 an aeon in lbc time … a Print-On-Demand service that offers a medallion on the cover and tags ‘Amazon best selling author’ on books with Amazon sales rank of #11,677,471 and #10,260,156 … the horror, the horror.

Oh, don’t apologize. Some of these covers make me want to shout and rant AND RAGE! There. That was therapeutic.
