Why the random little characters? Horse on bridge, man and dog on his lapel, and so on. I’m sure they have deeeeeeep significance if you read the story, but right now they are just a cheap version of Where’s Waldo. (BTW- I think Waldo is stuffed under that lumpy car hood.)
