Funny, I actually had the opposite reaction: not only do I think that the horse is on the ground, it looks to me like he’s sinking into it. I’m pretty sure that entire road is made of quicksand.
The horse looks (mostly) as though he’s on the ground, although there appears to be a massive water-caused rivulet to the horse’s right (our left); but the woman is CLEARLY a floater. She’s levitatin’ her wee feet off there.
Look at all those trees in the background! They’ve obviously never been to Cheyenne.
Maybe they’re standing in front of the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens.
It’s amazing how neither the woman nor the horse look at all like they’re touching the ground. Floaters all.
