‘And’ purpose? Is that like on accident?

my guess is they’re trying to say “yourself and your purpose” but don’t get that “yourself” is a whole word, so there’s no “your” to be assumed to apply to “purpose”

Words are a writer’s primary tools, so it’s always fun when they can’t use them correctly and expect people to give them money anyway.

What the heck is the deal with the colons before and after his name? Is this supposed to be some kind of scope resolution operator?

You know your book cover has been sabotaged when it looks like a hacker catted the passwd file to it.

me@egret:~$ cat /etc/passwd
root:x:0:0:root:/root:/bin/bash
daemon:x:1:1:daemon:/usr/sbin:/usr/sbin/nologin
me:x:1000:1000:me,,,:/home/me:/bin/bash

I really don’t have to tell anyone here what this cover looks like it’s meant for, right? I mean….oish.

Yeah, exactly. Man, that is some horrifying stuff and I wish to God I didn’t think it the moment I saw it.

Well, yes: as our host says, this is pretty much the kind of picture you’d put on a child abuse memoir. Though I haven’t been able to source it on any image service, I wouldn’t be too surprised if it were based on some still frame stolen from Sound of Freedom (2023).

I admit, that’s not quite the…yes, in that realm-ish, but from a different perspective. I just…kinda feels like what the movies and TV show you as “shopping channel” materials, ya know? Oh, ICK, now that’s making me nauseous.
