Cut & paste notwithstanding, I think the artwork is pretty good – almost has a Magritte vibe to it.
The text & more text, however… Clearly the writer is still in what I call their “Roget’s phase” and thinks that more words = better book.

imagine if the doorway(? background image) were more of a frame shape, and bigger, and the cut ‘n’ paste bride (assumption) were framed (visual reason for cutting off the image) with a text layout that looked like a bookcover…

And had any effort been made to convey a more-detailed creepiness to the covered head. [SMH]
a grunge texture maybe, but yeah. It makes the cover so much more disappointing because the elements are there, they’re just…slapped together.
The subtitle “A Gripping Psychological Horror Enigma Novel” reads to me more like a blurb, less like a subtitle.
And worse, I keep reading it as “A gripping psychological horror enema novel,” which would be pretty damn horrifying to me, lemme tell ya…
