“I can’t find the good picture, dear. Will this out-of-focus one where she’s crossing her eye do?”

So here neither the background, nor the character, nor the font have anything to do with Egypt, and you could replace “Egypt” with “New Jersey” and have it make as much sense. Also a good case of “show don’t tell” in that nothing about the imagery says “wild and crazy”. Show me, say, a wild Nubian party on a reed boat with somebody wrestling a crocodile and an Egyptian shockingly turning to face a direction other than sideways!

Okay, I’ll admit that I’m now filled with the desire to write The Shadow World of Ancient New Jersey.ļ»æ
