Sounds like the “writer” wants to be the next Ursula K. LeGuin. LeGuin wrote several fine books, but so much of her writing is intolerably dull because she spends 90% of the time building entire worlds/societies. A whole book that only serves as introduction? (And what’s a “contributor”???)
