The Age of Scions

Age? I’d guess about eleven.

Pretty decent artwork, if it’s for a children’s book?!? Then again, I’ve been spoiled by such august illustrators who worked on Dr. Seuss, Roald Dahl, Maurice Sendak, Shel Silverstein and amongst many others with excellent artwork which I probably didn’t appreciate when I first read them!

Agreed…If it’s a children’s book. But I’d still like to see it kicked up a notch. It can definitely be better, even for a stylized, simplified art style.

I’m sorry, but regardless of for whom the artwork is intended, what the holy hell is that sky-vehicle meant to be and how, exactly, is it propulsed? Wind or gas/hot-air? Am I the only one noticing that the freaking hot-air/gas balloon envelope is in the way of the breeze to the sail???

Hitch, it’s a Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) ship, thanks to the hot air balloon affixed to its aft!

Whether it’s in the port quarter or not, I feel some Port might help when viewing lousy covers! Though I fear something stronger is in order for most of the lousy covers that Nathan gifts (or torments?) us with 🙂 Hope all had a Happy Thanksgiving!

Oh, Brad, dear….then you must forgive my wine about the propulsion method! Not to imply that this one is a turkey, of course!

Well, they can’t all have Infinite Improbability Drives! 🙂 Enjoy a Pangalactic Gargleblaster and Don’t Panic!

Is the balloon on fire because it collided with that ship?
