As someone who creates astronomical art for a living, this cover brought tears to my eyes.
And why is his rifle(?) just floating off to the side?
The astronaut appears to be using telekinesis to levitate the rifle and surrounding rocks.
Now that you mention it, even the astronaut seems to float above the surface of the planet. Perhaps it’s just a planet with no gravity? Everything in the background seems really floaty, too.
I think everyone involved in the making of the book was floaty.
Apparently, hey, “who needs a weapon in this hostile, dark place, eh?”
Sheesh.
This cover won’t deter why so many people believe the moon landing was a crude fake.
