I had flashbacks of that ridiculous episode of Doom Patrol where the robot dude gets pushed out the hatch of the space capsule and (I forget how) makes it back to earth. I kinda had to give up that show around that time. There’s dumb, and too-dumb.
TV is beyond dumb now.Even the streaming shows are becoming more stupid due to pandering to the lowest common denominator.
It’s amazing how they can even take something from Isaac Asimov and dumb it down, all while patting themselves on the back because they think randomly changing the source material is being creative.
Oh, I agree. Know what we’ve been watching, the last week+? I kid thee not, when I say this–I’ve been streaming the original Perry Mason series, with Raymond Burr, et al.
Sometimes, you just need a break from all the STUPID and worse, all the lecturing.
Oooh, I used to love those old MIs. Hell, didn’t we all–it’s how somebody, somewhere, came up with the idea to recycle it, amirite?
I don’t even mind the new Perry Mason HBO series that RDJ produced–but it’s not Perry Mason. It’s an okay story as it is, although it had zero emotional payoff, in the finale (definitely NOT a Mason!); but is it Perry Mason, either from the books or the show? The hell it is. Not even remotely. And honestly, it’s not better for it.

Maybe dad should take her to an art academy first, then to a book store.

Imagine being a reader, or at least calling yourself appreciative of books, and thinking THIS is a productive use of your time.
Ah, my favorite logical fallacy rears its head. So you’re committing never to criticize the coach in a football game, never to complain about a restaurant meal, and never to say that a movie was lame. Right?
Graphic design and illustration are two separate fields, and this book proves it.
It’s just a recolor of the cover of ‘My Dad Took Me To Africa’.
“….and left me there.”

I recently binged the entire run of Mission: Impossible, Ellery Queen, and Police Squad. From my personal collection.

Hurt feelz cleanup on aisle 2!
Nah, I don’t have a personal stake. I just don’t see the point in this level of stupidity.
Uh huh. First day on the internet?
You’re just proving the point, booboo.
Oh, you have a point? I just thought you came here and commented on a five-month-old post just to feel all smug and superior.
Just saying, unless you’ve done better yourself, shut the fuck up about other people’s art. Nobody’s forcing you to buy it.

Until I read this one, I thought that the big “THIS” a few posts back referred to the cover!
