I like the cover when you compare it against most the covers on this site. That doesn’t mean it’s good. Also i think the medium of color pencils looks good on a book cover the colors look just to light. Ether do digital. or else oils / acrylics i.e Darrell K. Sweet

Yeah it’s a shame. The artist IS talented, and the scale and concept are good, but pencils always have an inescapably amateurish look.
Yes. That artist has a future with it, but s/he isn’t quite ready yet. And yes–pencils just never work for a cover, IMHO.
