I notice that the sample contract they provide allows an author to submit an alternate cover. I would bet that Paulits chose to do this since his are A. consistently godawful and B. always feature what I assume are photos of his own kids.
Wow. I wonder if (seriously) I should reach out to them? I have some truly fabulous and affordable cover assets/resources to save them from this sort of thing…but I know they’d view it as trawling. Dang.
Anyone in this day and age who doesn’t avail themselves of the professional resources available to them doesn’t do so from ignorance, but from the mistaken apprehension that their own efforts are sufficient. I doubt you can make a dent in that kind of delusion.
