Good to know that Isabella Ides figured out what was wrong with her cover: the lack of any vanity award medallions! Now that she has fixed that, truly it is a cover to which nothing can be added.

As usual, it seems somewhat morbid to dwell on the deaths of the year without also recognizing the births of the same year… but with extremely few exceptions (I’m a grandfather now!), we don’t know which of the millions who came into the world this year will be familiar to us by the end of...
