Twisted

It seems like a nice little coming-of-age story, except maybe not so nice:

Brittany Hoffman has been through Hell. When she’s finally come to grips with not surviving, her friend Matt Rhodes is kidnapped with her. When the rescue teams remove them, she has a long way to go to heal physically and mentally. It seems like the only friend she has is Matt and he’s in worse shape than she is. Can she handle life after Hell or will her survival be shortlived

When a book’s blurb is only half literate, it doesn’t augur well for the book itself.

I have not read this – so I can say with complete authority that yes, that horse is Matt. Brittany and Matt return from hell straight into the State Fair. In the Livestock building. During an Auction.

Of course it’s a horse auction. What else? Unfortunately, all the bidders are buyers for glue factories.

Brittany cries.
Matt dies.
The end.

Because selling Matt for glue got her $150 bucks towards her new fall wardrobe!

Coda: But then she gets a complementary case of Matt Glue for all her scrapbooking…
