We’ve got at least one new cover here that’s a definite step backward from the original. I’ll let you discover it for yourself.

I’m going to say the “definite step backward” is either Kai’s Journey (no improvements, and the new cover’s art is not as well centered as the original’s) or Blood Rose (new cover is more difficult to read than the original and looks like somebody used it for her “rag” while she was “on the rag”).
First, let me again say how wonderful the new layout is, for these. MUCHO BETTER. Can’t say enough about it, truly.
Secondly–man, most of these aren’t an improvement! For a few, I actually used the links, to double-check, as the NEW was worse than the old! And I’m with RK–albeit, wording it a bit differently (ahem), that Blood Rose is the likely “went backwards” winner.
Something Kyushu Something – at least it’s readable now;
Pretty Much True – I pretty much like the new design;
The Wishing Tree – shifted from “ridiculous” to “almost passable”.
Right Out of Nowhere, Infinity & Loving Angel – not great but being close to “generic bookstore fodder” is still a huge leap forward;
“Miao Shan” – went from a complete blur to something akin a “become a martial arts master in a weekend” released by a 1990s basement publisher;
Blood Rose – I agree this change is the least impressive.
Yes! Thumbs up to the new format.
“The God Child”: I have not read any description of the story, but pic 1 makes it look like a Bible shepherd, a cover for one of those Christian fiction stories with characters from Bible times. Cover two looks like a fantasy novel with a wizard.
The better picture depends on the nature of the story.
Well it will do, what with the body of Charlton Heston’s Moses on it…
