I’m pretty sure both of those characters were created with one of those “composite” art programs where you essentially start with a paper doll and choose the eyes, lips, clothes, etc from a library of options. That would obviously account for the “one pose” issue.
I thought there was something wrong with my screen, then I realised the two people are actually partially transparent.
And what does the title “Inner $ Anctum Reality” actually mean?
In the series, the Inner Sanctum is the realm where dreams are created. There is an underlying meaning to the name “Inner Sanctum” that hasn’t been revealed yet. “Reality” is the first book in the series.
Nothing really. I just think a way more professional way of handling this situation would be to message the author privately and share your opinions of their cover instead of plastering them all over a site for people to humiliate and lower the author’s morale. Not to mention, you seem to already be getting some backlash for your actions. Just some thoughts.
I honestly was pretty steamed when I saw that you posted this. I admit I may not be the best designer (yet), but I designed the cover before I went into college to get my bachelor’s in graphic design. Most people say that they liked it a lot, especially compared to the previous cover I uploaded (which was a trainwreck–both literally and figuratively. Look it up and you’ll see what I mean ;))
My point is, maybe try a different approach to your methods. Instead of bringing people down, why not shoot them a message and be like, “Hey! I noticed your cover and I think it could use some pointers from a professional POV. Mind if I help you out a bit?”
Dude, there’s no shortage of resources for design advice for people who seek them out. The people who DO seek them out before publishing on Amazon for all to see… they don’t end up here.
You can start talking about “more professional” when your cover shows that you’re actually concerned about looking professional.
Well it’s really cute that you think you’re doing something productive with this site.
Also its cute that you think you have room to talk about how YOU think book covers are bad.. when your website isn’t the best.
At least the people who write these books and design the covers are doing something other then spreading hate on the internet.
By the way I know my comment isn’t too love filled and yes I know I came to this website.
Let me tell why I did, I heard there were people on here thinking they had the right to say hateful things about book covers that people spend time and effort on something that they care about.
if you think that its okay to sit here and tell people that something they worked hard on isn’t good, then you need to rethink a lot of things in your life.

Bet you won’t post my comment.
the only reason that they are being moderated is because you don’t want people telling the truth.
So prove me wrong
I dare
For some reason, this cover makes me think of a Rockwell song: “I always feel like…somebody’s WAAATCHING me!” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YvAYIJSSZY
Love the song ❤️ 💕 🎶 🎵
This is good cover art… for a high schooler

I’m fairly sure this was done using Heromachine 3!
You’re correct 😉

The weird s-like symbol is the symbol of the Inner Sanctum.
Also curious to know why my comments are being moderated.
Got me. I just noticed your comments in moderation and let ’em out of jail.
Still being moderated
So is this site just to bash bad book covers and not the quality of the book itself?

Which part of the name “Lousy Book Covers” is confusing?

Well I guess I’ll step up my game then.
