I don’t know. Disaster. Horror. I think the first sentence agrees with the cover very well.
Heh; there was a horror movie on this very subject for which the author could have used the poster as inspiration for a much better cover.
How d’ya think that poor Flea/skin mite feels? With whatever the hell is on his back, being painted on there? Poor widdle thing.
Actually, that’s pretty much just what dermacentor variabilis (a.k.a. the common dog tick) looks like. It really shouldn’t be so difficult to make ticks look apocalyptic and vaguely horrifying since nobody likes those little bloodsucking disease carriers anyway, but the designer of this cover couldn’t even manage that.
I used to pull ticks from my dog’s coat, when I was a teen, either through regular pulling (small ones) or the old match method (fat ones). Hated those suckers.
