The Dragon’s Familiar

The Dragon’s Familiar

What’s bizarre is that the book features interior illustrations by well-known D&D artist Larry Elmore, but the author thinks his own art is sufficient for the cover. (h/t David)

Perhaps he couldn’t afford Larry Elmore’s fee for cover design as well.
I am also wondering what are those white squiggles near his sword?

Yep, very appropriate for a book cover!

I imagine the artist had fun creating this, and it isn’t terrible, really…just nowhere near professional.

The borders of this book don’t look any more appealing ether

I suppose the title means “The Familiar of the Dragon” and not “The Dragon Is Familiar” ’cause quite frankly I don’t recall seeing that dragon before.

I may be just feeling cranky but epic saga needs grand sounding title, like, “The Lord of the Rings” not “The Rings’ Lord”.

I agree. I’m pretty sure I would remember if I’d ever met a dragon with an orange mohawk.
