I thought somebody had crumpled the cover. Then I thought they’d tried to make the photo look old and damaged. It wasn’t for a while afterwards that I noticed it was superimposed lighting.
And if the book title is “Fierce Storm”, and the series title is “The Ladies Series”, where does “The Guarded Heart” fit into all this?
I interpreted it as “The Guarded Heart” is the main series and “The Ladies Series” is a sub-series, presumably with a “The Men Series” as its counterpart. That or the title is “Fierce Storm: The Guarded Heart”. Some consistent fonts would make things much easier.
