That fancy script font with an outline and drop shadows deserves two posrens:

One for getting the drop shadows almost right on the title.

The other for getting the outline right on the author’s name.

The author says: My Mother is told mostly in the first-person narrative and from the author’s point of view. As usual, it seems somewhat morbid to dwell on the deaths of the year without also recognizing the births of the same year… but with extremely few exceptions (I’m a grandfather now!), we don’t know which of the millions who came into the world this year will be familiar to us by the end of...
