So which wife would you choose? The bear, the baby, the mouse, the mountain man, the black-n-white dandy, or the woman in the shadows? Yeah, it screams “romance in the Appalachians” to me…
Oh wait, I missed the lady photographing the bear mauling the mountain man. She must be the wife I’ve been looking for in this mess.

Yeah, Algerian, an Appalachian font. Not. Best local covers I’ve seen took hints from McGuffey Readers and similar traditional sources. Algerian. That kinda slight has triggered some serious feuds.
So a mouse, a Swiss horn, a bonnet of some sort and a baby who looks even more confused than babies usually do.
