A man-sized rat? When I was a kid, popular items at the corner store were rat traps, poison and .22 shotshells. Judging the cover by the cover: kids in my neighborhood would have nightmares from rat and would see smirking girl as evil.

I couldn’t stop laughing when I saw this cover.
Uh, what’s the book about, anyway? Giant blue rats with utility belts? Girls with lightning striped hair highlights? Eggs with electricity playing over the shell?
This person had obviously never seen a real book cover before. This is ridiculous.
Wow. Is this book shelved under CHILDREN’S BOOKS (for children you don’t like.)?

Clever, very clever, Red. 🙂
[bows belatedly]
In retrospect, though, it lacks a certain eloquence and charm, so I can only suggest that the reader imagine it as inflected by R2D2.
I will read any book with a giant rat on the cover.
