The real quandary is: do you pull the boomerang out from the left ear or the right? Or do you just leave it where it is and hope for the best?

Ah, it’s a boomerang, is it? I thought it was a pair of emery boards with which she’d been attempting to file her brain 😉

So take an OK drawing, paste on two fake ears and think, “Wow, I really improved that!”

At hi-res the details of the ears are fuzzier than the rest of the art, so they are pasted on.

Having nothing else to do, I opened the cover jpg in paint and did a quick cut and paste job to remove the ears. The cover is more intriguing and attractive without the ears. I know it’s an elf fantasy book, but the cover is still better with a stealth elf with concealed carry ears. With open carry ears, she’s goofy.

The real quandary is the author thought that this cover was passable and not end up here

“Q” here is like a James Bond villain: when he presses his knuckle, invisible guided missiles shoot out his ears.
