Is that a somewhat humanoid Lion, driving that Mad Max-Beyond ThunderDome ripped-off truck?
Not to mention–this is my favorite bit: “A complete new Novel by David A. Simpson.” Uh…as opposed to what? An incomplete new novel? An incomplete old novel? What?
Another cover that’s kind of a shame. The author/publisher clearly paid good money, for that drawing. It’s a little too busy, and the artist didn’t have the background to know about leaving enough room for the title, along with making the graphic seeable. Rats.
That’s a tattered zombie on top of the cab; the driver is hanging out the door trying to rescue a blond girl but only stretching both their arms to incredible lengths.
I dunnoe, maybe Dave has recently released only abridged old novels and this is a change.
Even when artists leave room for titles, we see type across important elements, especially faces, so maybe this artist gave up in despair.

Valid points ladies and gentlemen. That is why writers probably shouldn’t design their own covers. 😜 But within weeks of its release ( and reactions similar to yours) I actually hired a top shelf guy to do a new cover. Check it out, see if you think it’s any better. Zombie Road on Amazon.
