Maybe I’m getting LBC fatigue, but I don’t think this cover is bad. A little pixelation that could be cleaned up, but I like the concept.

I actually like this cover. Kinda reminds me of a ’60s record label.

The minimalist artwork is striking and, arguably, quite effective. And the cryptic title is intriguing. But just when some clarity is desperately needed, the tagline leaves me utterly baffled. It’s like I’m looking at some mistranslated CliffsNotes for some book I’ve never heard of.
I don’t know. It feels very 60’s, I agree with that. My instant reaction was “The Throwing Out.”

I could see this as a single frame from the opening credits of a 60’s Bond film.

The the tagline and the eye make me wonder if this is another religious romance.

I can go with the retro vibe, but something is off about it. The neon yellow is too much, to start with. Too bright and too much of it. Shrink the illustration a bit and put it lower on the page, change or tone down the color, make the title bigger. Make it more obvious what the genre is. Right now the blurb makes it seem like romance, but what kind? Suspense, paranormal, mystery? What are we rising above? Need it to be more obvious somehow. Maybe the eye color could be different. Red for a thriller perhaps.

I don’t mind it either… my only crit is that, on first glance, I thought that was a silhouette of an oven-ready chicken in her eye.

Me too. I think it’s pretty decent other than not really giving any impression of what it’s about.
