The Flight of the Intrepid Monkey

That’s gotta be a euphemism for something…

I love that my eye goes STRAIGHT to the toothless old lady in the center.

LOL! Consider it three of us. And her expression is priceless. She’s glaring at the model next to her, as if she’s willing those doughnuts to fall on her.

And for relevance sake, I sure hope someone’s eating doughnuts in this story.

I like to think she’s doing an impression of The Intrepid Monkey. And I have to say, i think she’s nailed it.

A lot of that clip art appears familiar to me from last Halloween when I browsed a costume catalog.

If it’s “Fight or Flight,” the monkey’s right.

The intrepid monkey picked the clip art before taking flight.

But, where’s the monkey?

The only thing flying is the jet-assisted ocean liner with wings and tail, so I am guessing it is the SS Flying Monkey. But I have been wrong before.

There needs to be a “kitchen sink” tag for covers like this, where the “designer” thinks they need to include absolutely everything in the book.

If all those pictures are related to what’s in the book then this must be a rip-roaring story about lingerie clad baristas who are serving donuts on an airborne cruise ship when they’re suddenly attacked by Amish pirates led by Betty Babushka and Cardinal Richelieu.
