A cover with possibilities that goes too far. Get rid of the tree, expand the top illustration to replace it, and for heaven’s sake get better fonts.

The images shorthand to me:
line-of-battle = medieval epic,
gnarly Yggdrasil tree = Nordic fantasy,
wall of riveted iron = steampunk.
(oak with riveted bands of iron would be medieval)
Three contrasting elements.
Might work for a three-in-one volume of a trilogy.
