Death Comes in Threes

I live in a universe in which someone published this. And so do you.

Is she riding an imaginary Razor scooter? Is that a man walking in high-heels? Floating houses? This cover is a mess, complete with a random dog.

No, I think they’re doing it under the moonlight. Maybe the moon is crashing into earth and they want to do it one last time.

Interesting thing about this cover: there are no “pseudo-humans” here, but nearly everything on this cover but the silhouettes and the (dangerously-close-to-Earth) moon on this cover was rendered by whatever program spat out those “pseudo-humans” on the other covers. Note the Jumanji-style dog, the textured-green-rock astroturf lawn, and the two-dimensional pseudo-textures on the wooden fences and buildings.

I think those *are* pseudo-humans from one of those programs. They have just been darkened until they look like silhouettes, probably in an attempt to make them look less creepy than usual.

I think those are real people although the woman (?) in the front appears to have had kitten heels photoshopped onto her (?) while I have absolutely no idea what the heck is up with the woman in the back and why her hands are so odd (among other things).

It almost looks like the heels on invisible scooter woman’s boots got left behind and are now stuck on the feet of the other…person.

THE MOON IS IN FRONT OF THE TREES AND CASTING LIGHT ON THEM.

And it’s so big, the yard and the dog are lit up like it’s high noon while the people are in silhouette.

By this cover, the story should be about how one day the universe broke and the first warning sign of this was the moon crashing into a backyard.

Isn’t that a tough position to have coitus?

Especially when it’s two women.

Especially when you consider there’s an actual dog in the picture. Ugh.

It’s a mystery all right. A mystery anyone thought this cover would be okay.
