BLURB: Testing the New Testament: The Case Against the “New Testament”, Jesus Christ and the Christian Narrative

An uncompromisingly critical look into the founding literature of Christianity, from its roots in the Old Testament to a thorough analysis of its depicted historical events.

When exactly was the New Testament written? Was Mary Magdalene really a virgin? Could the apostles be considered reliable narrators?

Um, Mary Madalene wasn’t the mother of Jesus. But thanks for letting us know up front that you don’t know what you’re talking about.

BLURB: The Solar Current is Nuptially Tuned

For young adults of all ages, 18-95
The Solar Current is Nuptially Tuned
by Thomas M Miovas Jr

“The videocom made its horrible noise again.
“Spencer grumbled but answered it anyhow.
“The voice from the other end said simply, “Extraterrestrials in Crater 451. Meet me in the Operations Building in fifteen minutes.””

When Spencer Harling investigates the spacecraft, he was in for a surprise!

Would you have the courage to enter and explore a crash-landed unknown spacecraft on the moon? What do you think you will find there? And how can one use solar flares for a spacecraft? Could you be an inventor and make something important for future space travel? You would if you were Spencer Harling and had been fired from Lunar City and was looking for some adventure. Read about it in my new science fiction book “The Solar Current is Nuptially Tuned”

NOTE: Modern language has changed “solar current” to mean the current arising for solar panels, but that is not what this story is about. Once upon a time ago, the solar flares and their charged particle ejections were referred to as the solar current; and that is the meaning I am using in this short story. I apologize for any confusions, but the title was written a long time ago when “solar current” had a different meaning. It is an enjoyable short story that doesn’t have anything to do with solar-powered electric panels.

When half your description has to be a disclaimer and defense of your use of vocabulary…

BLURB: The Jack Eldridge Story: The RetroFuturistic Man

The Chicago Cultural Center building was once the main branch of the Chicago Public Library. During major renovations, eight mysterious books were found behind a wall on the lower level. Nobody took much interest in the old books until they ended up on the desk of Dorothy Burnett, the Center’s main historian. She discovered that the books were written in the 1930s by an unfamiliar author named Jack Eldridge who penned detailed, retrofuturistic visions of what life would be like in the future. Most interesting were his last two volumes which predicted life in the year 2000 and beyond. Dorothy was so entranced with the books, she wished Jack Eldridge would step out of time and walk through her door. As fate would have it, Jack ended up in the 21st century to witness the world as it had really become.

Jack Eldridge always believed his destiny was tied to the library building, and that his true love would be found there. Was the love of his life Beverly, the mousy librarian in 1939, or Dorothy, the beautiful 21st Century historian?

Focus, people, focus.

BLURB: What Matters: An Anthology of Books and Works from the Author

I guess when the title proclaimed that this was “from the Author,” we should have known what we were in for.
