Since the advent of solar, maybe the Gaslighteur has become a Moonlighteur mime to make ends meet.

The plot appears to be that the GF who claims to be a victim of “gaslighting” by an ex is actually “gaslighting” her sympathetic current BF. So maybe she’s the manipulator and not the victim. (And the looooong Amazon book blurb is a bigger spoiler than my plot premise.)
Gaslighteur (m.) would be a man who practices “gaslighting”.
Gaslighteuse (f.) would be a woman who practices “gaslighting” but that would give away the plot (like the Amazon book blurb does).
We are being gaslighted (psychologically manipulated) by the title!
You did know I was joking, right? What pop culture aficionado would NOT know Gaslight?
The plot sounds good, actually. I’d read that, IF it had a viable LITB and the description didn’t make me run away screaming. The cover is making me think of screaming.
Sometimes it’s more fun if I play dumb 😉
The cover sent me looking for my artificial tears and reading glasses then I realized the rest of the page was in focus.

How big was the original image? Postage stamp?

The execution needs some major help. I think there might be a compelling cover in there, waiting to emerge. The typography is pretty bad, for sure, but I actually do like the idea behind the terribly blurry image. The idea, mind. The image is terrible. But a sad clown face partially removed from the face of the woman is pretty cool.
So, the protag is a guy who owns and runs Gaslights? What’s with the “Tears of the Clown” makeup?

Conceptually.
