Well, this explains a lot. From the description [with commentary by me!]: “This is a collection of poetry and artwork [needed in the description because suggesting it in the title/subtitle isn’t nearly enough]. It is roughly [because it’s hard to be precise about the number of pages in a book] 47 pages in length. It is all original poems and artwork [Emily’s work, of course, and thank you for allaying my fears about plagiarism because that wa th eonly ting holding me back from this purchase] by Emily H. Sturgill. This is her 9th publication since joining the kindle family in jan 2013 [prolific, ain’t she?]. The poetry centers around themes [47 pages and all these themes? yikes! no wonder the cover looks like this!] such as Nature, Animals, People, Love and Music.”
I think she means, “Once, I was tears in the rain. . . ”
and then she leans over the edge of the building she is sitting on and continues,
“I’ve… seen things you people wouldn’t believe… [contemptuous laugh] Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those… moments… will be lost in time, like [small cough] tears… in… rain. Time… to die…”
Suddenly Rutger Hauer bursts through a wall and throws her off the roof of the building.
I think I know that song.
“This one time… at band camp…”
Anyone?
It looks like a high school poetry project.
…at a Montessori School.
“Once, I was the Rain.”
Well, I guess it beats previously being a Golden Shower.
