The Forgotten Graveyard

Once again: People who have never seen an actual book cover should probably refrain from designing them.

On the other hand, this would probably make a great image for a skateboard deck.

Or an ’80s heavy metal album cover.

You know, decent illustration, terrible terrible font badly used. This seems to happen a lot.

It does seem like a cool image though. It sort of seems like this image should defy convention; maybe even the audience it appeals to will feel that way. This one might have a shot. But going against what buyers are used to seeing usually doesn’t pay.

Looks like the skull has Ronald McDonald red curly hair. He also appears to have a bloody nose. (Too much blow at the last grave yard stomp I guess.) I hate the flimsy yellow title framing his face. If the author wanted to deliberately frame his face, the title should be in the form of earrings.

Oh, love the earring idea. Don’t know if it world make the title more readable, but it would look less like an afterthought.

It reads like “forgotten drayevarg” … That’s not helpful.

Or at least take an anatomy course.
