What We Never Had: A Novel

No, seriously — that’s the entire front cover for both print and ebook.

Did someone forget to reduce the title font before publishing? Or perhaps they tried to crop out a potentially objectionable element from the original cover?

Whatever the reason, it’s a perplexing fail.

The publisher’s website is a similar carcrash too. It’s all artsy — and all messed up. Weird. Or is this just how the cool kids do things these days? http://www.rarebirdbooks.com/

On their website they want $17.95 for this “Wha Neve Zach” book. For that money I would at least expect all the words of the title to fit on the cover. Maybe the version with all the words costs more?
