I saw the birds right off–before I read Nathan’s post(!). Didn’t help me understand this cover at all, though. I mean, are they daughters of hummingbirds? Or what?

Actually, it’s just one hummingbird that’s been mirrored–a cover “twofer”.
Thank you. Before you mentioned the hummingbirds, I thought I was looking at a very blurry, close up, crotch shot of a raw whole chicken.
I thought it might be some kind of crazed Frankenstein chicken with major big wings and wearing a red robot head.

Well, isn’t that what that mirror option thingie in Photoshop is for? Making perfectly dull and symmetrical images that no one can figure out?
And why do so any of these endeavors turn out looking like deformed genitalia?
Just because. Just because.
For the answer to that, we must all look deep inside ourselves.
I thought it was a female alien’s gynecological exam. That is one big Yuck!
What is that red thing? It has eyes, so some kind of hat?
It’s either a flower or the bottom of a hummingbird feeder but with the mirroring is looks waaaaay weird.
I keep seeing a face.
I thought it was someone’s deformed torso!
