So the 2nd world appeared in the Pacific off the coast of Chile and just happened to look like an oval from outer space?

Also, it appears that someone’s toilet in Europe is overflowing and the wave of dirty water has swept over the Atlantic and is starting to flood the Americas. Better call a plumber, or a cover designer, because the crapper is overflowing on this one.

Honestly, this one has promise. Author, if you manage to stumble on this page, here are my suggestions:

– Ditch the wildflowers
– Make the color change on the east more drastic. Make it totally monochrome, or red or something.
– MAKE THE TEXT MORE READABLE. Seriously, you can’t think that looks good.
– Change your fonts. Your Amazon blurb makes this sound like dystopian scifi, but the fonts read more like fantasy.
– With the wildflowers gone, you could stick the review excerpt in the lower Pacific there. Then move the title up.
– The tagline on top would look better if it were only two lines, I think? You can have more than five words per line, I promise.
– With all the other text changes made, center your byline and make it bigger.

These are good changes. I would add make the genre much more apparent on the cover, not just by changing the fonts but with a new title, at least. The blurb about Miocene California sounded to me like nonfiction paleontology. (Which is a plus for me, actually, but probably not for most readers).

It’s a bit of a stretch to buy that a prehistoric human civilization during the Miocene epoch would have places named “California” and “Los Angeles.”

Sorry, I read the description wrong. Nevermind.

Though I still have to say that the Eocene epoch would be a better candidate for a mammalian Eden than the Miocene.
