It’s not every day you see a statue . . . with a TATTOO!

Will one of you scholars please tell me the significance of the serpent and the dagger (other than the obvious, “I’m a badass angel statue!”) with a rose. My money is on a hidden message from Opus Dei, or maybe the Knights Templar. Of course, the fact that it’s a statue points to the Stonecutters! http://youtu.be/_ZI_aEalijE

I have researched this for you and the best answer seems to be “I live by fighting “

I think the angel is saying “Damn, got stood up AGAIN. I KNEW getting that tattoo in Magaluf was a mistake… maybe I should stop using Match.com and just try hanging out around in truckstops – I might meet some HELL’S ANGELS then – ba-dum, tish!”

Shattered Glass Mind? If the title is referring to the shattered statue, wouldn’t it make more sense to title it Shattered STONE Mind? Just sayin’.

Nathan – are you on a kick of memoirs of the emotionally damaged? 😉

How would that statue hold together with massive structural cracking like that? That picture should be a mishmash of marble body chunks.

Gorilla Glue, of course.

Except for the crappy font and text color (needs more pop or contrast), I don’t think this is too bad a cover. Yeah, could be better, but I’ve seen LOTS worse here on LBC.

I like the red rose contrasting with the grey cover theme. This cover could persuade me to “look inside” and investigate further, which is what a cover’s job is, ultimately.

Who gave the angel a black eye?

The little angel on her shoulder gave her the black eye of course. The other eye is rolling in the back of her head. Question: If an Angel is on one shoulder, shouldn’t the devil be on the other? That’s some bad ass glue holding her all together. Put bluntly, that Angel is one hot mess.

What’s that way down there in the bottom right corner? Is that a transparent turkey?

Wow, not only is there an angel on an angel, there’s also a turkey on a turkey!

Nope. That’s a swan. What the f— it’s doing there on the rough sea all transparent and ghostly is anyone’s guess.
