If this is a children’s book, then I think the cover is fine. (Just my opinion)
The author’s bio doesn’t include her being a writer for kids, and the ‘description’ is just an extract. It doesn’t really sound like kids’ book either. More like regular fantasy.
Too bad. It really wouldn’t be a bad cover for a children’s picture book.
