Why oh why is the lion’s head so deformed? What purpose does this kind of thing ever serve? This makes no sense.
It’s a rare African squeezed lion. You can tell by the snake tattooed on his forehead. These lions are endangered and only found in this writer’s imagination.
Wouldn’t fun facts and pictures of animals in the wild be more educational? Any kid can go to a zoo and see them behind bars getting fed out of buckets. Do they really need a book about it?
That lion’s head looks like it’s been squeezed in a vice and then stamped with a snake tattoo. If a child reads this book and then goes to the zoo I doubt there will be any lions that look like that unless it’s a zoo of torture.

LydiaFC,it’s not just the lion’s head. The title font is also deformed. This is what happens when someone has no clear sense of a statement or design sense so they just try to throw clip art together willy-nilly.
