I don’t get it. Guardian gargoyles are supposed to squat on folded legs ready to pounce — these guys are laying on the porch on their bellies with their legs flat on the porch behind them, propped up on their arms while modestly wearing blue and green shorts. Not scary.
Clearly both the gargoyles (who appear to be the main characters from Disney’s animated series Gargoyles!) have active Facebook accounts and have been challenged to the 22 Pushup Challenge. This is day one, so they are not yet toned enough to lift their bellies off the porch.

Nice mock up for the cover, when do we get to see the finished artwork?
I’m guessing the intended audience for this book is the Depth-and-Perspective-Challenged crowd.
Are those gargoyles on the porch or is it Trash Night on Spook Hill?

Unless this book is about a sidewalk, I think the author needs to re-think the composition of this lousy book cover.
maybe the main characters are ants?
