But she has so many things to be proud of, Nathan. Her engagement ring. Her manicure. Her curtain rod.

OMG, it is a curtain rod! (And that’s a really small diamond. Her fiance is a cheapskate.)

Probably not even a real diamond, I bet it’s a cubic zirconia.

What’s this book about, anyway? I’m clueless here.

The official blurb:

Ginger Sullivan is kidnapped by an evil sorcerer. Desperate to escape, she discovers that she has Magical Powers, and a fellow captive informs her that she is a witch. He tells her that among his people it is said “It is a Proud Thing to be a witch,” but she fears that it will be difficult to reconcile this with her her former life, and with her fiancee’s religious teachings.

That actually IS a fairly decent manicure.
At first I thought that was a jeweled wand but on closer examination realized its just a plain old curtain rod. Guess after that expensive manicure that’s all she could afford.
