Well, it is a house and the picture is in focus. What more can you ask? You mean you want to see a title? An author name? Oh, come on now, that’s soooo cliche! 😉

Is this the same house that Sluagh, Demon Real Estate Agent of the Night was standing in front of?

How many square feet? How many bedrooms? bathrooms? Does it include appliances? Is the neighborhood safe? What’s the asking price?

The house is stable but the school system is horrible.

Out of sheer curiosity I would really like to ask the author (whoever he/she is what in the world inspired the senseless decision to omit a title and author’s name. It’s a crappy picture to boot. Maybe the author was high and thought “Hey! A picture’s worth a thousand words! No title or author’s name necessary!” Reality check to whoever wrote this book: No. No. In This case a picture is NOT worth a thousand words. Are there even any INSIDE the book? Who am I kidding? I’ll never take the time to find out.

That house doesn’t look anything like a stable. And there’s no way you’d ever get a horse up those steps and through the front door.
A snapshot done by an amateur photographer. Good architectural photography is a bit tricky. Notice how the sides of the house are converging towards the top and are not parallel. You need a view camera with swings and tilts to correct for this.
PhotoShop can also correct for this, but you have to know how to do it in PS.
You’re right, that angle should only be used if the property is part of a street-spanning block of properties to identify the property in question, not a stand-alone property.
(I’m an architecture geek as well, comes from being raised by a property manager and a landscape architect)

Reminds me of the late lamented Lousy Listings on the Cheesburger site.
I have to say, if I saw this book in the library the sheer randomness of the cover might motivate me to pick it up out of curiosity. Of course, it’s an e-book, so that’s not gonna happen.

No, silly, the horsey go in through the garage.

Maybe it could in a virtual reality. I mean, who would’ve thought 25 years ago E-books would be possible?
Garden is a bit bland, and wheelchair access could be a problem. Probably would have made something better of it had picture been taken in the sun.
