The words on the oval that say “1897-1898 The Realms.” What part of the cover are they? Because they’re not the title, subtitle, series name, logline, our byline.

Wow, this is a really good sketch to give to a pro designer! I can see this working as digital art, with real fonts and some elements tweaked. The tombstone (?) looks weird at the dead center like that, but I’m sure a pro designer could make it work.
A lot more care went into this than in your average art for the refrigerator. Too bad it’s not good enough.

I agree. I really like the design but it needs a professional.
This is actually really cute and has that ‘trashy’ medieval book antique feel. However, I would suggest darker colors.
