OK, when did killers start knocking on doors?

With his hood up and gun clearly noticeable from behind. Nope, this guy is just blending in…

Actually, it looks like the case described in the book may have happened just as shown in the picture — in which case I feel a little bad for joking about it. Even if the cover accurately shows what the book’s about, though, it may still not be an effective image.

The concept is solid enough, but the execution is remarkably lackluster.

Also, with the cropping and blending it looks like this guy is standing inside his hallway, just waiting for someone to come a-knocking on his door…

From the book’s blurb:

“You will learn about the difficulties in finding a reliable hit man you can thoroughly trust.”

So it’s some kind of how-to manual then?

Every time I see a gun tucked into somebody’s pants I think about what’ll happen if it goes off. Anybody else have that reaction?

Yes. Me for example. Reminds me of that piece in Harry Potter when that guy said about wizards losing their buttocks in accidental burst-outs.

Well, at least it’s not in a front pocket. There have been cases where the gun there has gone off and taken out some male appendiges!

Back pocket/front pocket, either way the explosion would be awesome.

But the picture looks as though the killer is inside the house, and thus answering the door, rather than being at it. Other than that, the actual picture is not too bad, and the cover would have been better had it been more sympathetically assembled.
