I absolutely don’t understand how something like this even happens. Doesn’t the author/designer know they can add fonts through the image editing software? OK, maybe you don’t have Photoshop, but you can do it even in Word, FFS.
I guess that makes it a good cover then! I know we laugh at these covers, but seriously, folks, most of these are perfect for the books they represent. If they had beautiful covers, imagine how many people would be doped.

Pfffft, who needs fancy things like Photoshop when you’ve got a packet of felt-tip pens?

Book on Eramus the Croward [bangs head].
Did…did he print out text, trace it by hand, scan it in, and then cut and paste it onto the cover?
Sequel coming soon: Ignoramus the Cover Designer
LOL. 🙂
Don’t these “writers” realize that potential buyers/readers will equate the quality of the cover with the content?
I guess not. 🙁
I read a bit of the text in the online sample on Amazon. It matches the cover pretty well.

I know it says Eramus. My brain sees Eramus.
But my ears hear Ray Magliozzi saying, “Erasmus Bedragin.”
I can’t stop thinking scholarship.
