I assumed that Luna and the Heroes had something to do with the Moon. But upon scrolling down, I discovered “Luna” is merely the author’s name and thus I was letdown further.
Looking at the Amazon page (I’ve gotta stop polluting my browsing history with these), it turns out Luna is actually a cat who runs around with four boys solving crimes.
So while the true author doesn’t appear to have made herself the hero of her book, I strongly suspect that Luna is the name of her actual cat.
I realize now from Nathan’s comments on another book that one “Steven Challis” is credited as Luna’s editor, so I was wrong in my sexist assumption that the author was female. However, I do feel vindicated to learn that Luna is indeed the author’s cat.
